Brandi Glanville: No Makeup, Still Gorgeous!
The usually glammed-up Brandi posted the above makeup-free photo of
herself and it serves to remind us that before all the Housewives and
Eddie Cibrian drama, Brandi was a model - and a flawlessly gorgeous one
at that.
It's no secret that the 41-year-old mother of two has experienced her share of difficulties lately. In fact, recent reports indicate that Brandi is homeless at the moment, as she's been unable to find a suitable rental property due to her history of high-profile feuds.
Based on her latest twit pic, however, it certainly seems that Brandi's not showing any visible signs of stress. Hopefully the upcoming LeAnn and Eddie reality show won't result in any new wrinkles.
Brandi, of course, is just the latest celeb to get on board with the no makeup selfie trend.
Stars ranging from Lady Gaga to Oprah have shown their bare faces to the world in recent months, but few have looked like a completely different person the way Brandi does.
The red carpet may always be Brandi's natural habitat, but we're hoping she'll show the world more of this stripped-down look in the future.

Testing times for Messi, Ronaldo and the GALAXY 11 in the ultimate football showdown

Advertorial: Have Franz Beckenbauer’s team of
assembled superstars met their match? Find out by watching Part One of
the incredible #winnertakesearth challenge
The talking is over, the action begins. Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo
and the rest of the GALAXY 11 blast off to a neutral venue deep in outer
space to do what they do best. Representing the Earth, their football skills are pushed to the limit against supremely athletic and fiercely competitive opponents.
The game starts at a frenetic pace with goalkeeper Iker Casillas called into action early on amid a torrent of ruthless counter-attacking.
But it's not long before Messi and Ronaldo showcase their brilliance at the other end, fully justifying coach Franz Beckenbauer's selection decisions.
With the stakes so high, football simply does not get much more intense than this as you can see by viewing this remarkable video.
Diego Costa: Why I'm joining Chelsea

The Brazil-born Spain international striker has long
wanted a chance to play in the Premier League and is excited to
represent "one of the world's greatest clubs"
EXCLUSIVEBy Duncan Castles in Salvador
Diego Costa's decision to leave new Spanish champions Atletico Madrid for English football was motivated by a desire to play for "one of the greatest clubs in the world", says the striker.
Jose Mourinho's Chelsea have agreed to meet the centre forward's release clause - in a deal that, including agents' fees, will cost them £35 million - and struck personal terms that will make him one of their best-paid players.
"Why would I have chosen to play for Chelsea? It is a thing that is about to happen," Costa told Goal. "Things are going in a direction and, if they keep going as they are going, it is the team I will play for in the next season.
"I've wanted to play in the Premier League for a while. Chelsea are one of the greatest clubs of the world so there are many factors that make you take a decision like this."
Part of the Brazilian's attraction for the Blues boss is his physically domineering and unconventional style - partially a product of spending his teenage years outside of the country's academy systems. He first represented a top-tier European side as an 18-year-old, having been signed by Sporting Braga's then-technical director Eladio Parames, a close friend of Mourinho.
He subsequently bounced around Portuguse and Spanish club football, joining Penafiel, Celta Vigo, Albacete, Valladolid, Rayo Vallecano and Atletico Madrid on either full transfers or loans. Only in his past two seasons in the Spanish capital did he reach double figures in goals scored, concluding with a spectacular haul of 36 from 52 appearances as Atleti won the title.

The striker was roundly booed by Brazilian spectators as he made his World Cup debut for Spain in Salvador, a city less than 300 kilometres from his birthplace, on Friday. He won Spain's penalty in the 5-1 defeat and declared himself unaffected by verbal abuse querying his sexuality.
"In Spain it happens to me in every stadium I play so I'm pretty much accustomed to it," Costa observed. "I had my right of choice so it's the same for the public, they have the right to choose to boo me. When you are on the pitch you don't think about those things. I saw it coming, I knew it was going to happen so I had my head ready for that."
The forward also countered suggestions that his Spanish team-mates had been affected by the continual name-calling. "From [last year's] Confederations Cup, they knew that here in Brazil the relationhip between Spain and the fans was a bit complicated," he argued. "They knew they wouldn't have the support of the public.
"It was a tough loss [but] a match like this happens now and then. There is a positive side which is that we still have a chance, so we have to keep our heads up because there are two finals to be played. There is nothing better than a next match to try to forget this one."

Ronaldo no guarantee for success, says Bento

The Real Madrid attacker won the prestigious Fifa Ballon d'Or earlier this year and enjoyed a stellar campaign for the Champions League winners, but persistent knee and thigh problems mean he could be doubtful to feature against Joachim Low's men.
Bento has made it clear that the prolific attacker, should he be fit, cannot guide his team to success all by himself.
"I think having a player like Cris is very importance because he influences the way we play greatly. He knows that and, more importantly, his team-mates know that," the Portugal boss said at a press conference.
"But just because we have the best player in the world doesn't mean that we should be world champions. I know that some people in my country don't like me to say that but it's true.
"What we just have to do is focus on getting out of the group. I think regardless of the person in any group, you have to first do what's best for the team. Then you'll become recognised individually.
"We have a very good team. It is a team that has participated in big championships and had positive results, bearing in mind the size of the country. We're going to try to have a good World Cup but our first objective is to pass through the group phase, so having the best player in the world available to us makes us very pleased."
Bento then went on to voice his dismay with the early kick-off times of some games as he feels the heat makes it hard for players to perform at their best in Brazil.
"We have established a plan for ourselves, which includes three stages: one in Portugal, the second for the friendlies in Portugal and the United States, and then arriving in Brazil on the mandatory date five days beforehand. I think we've chosen to do things a different. But if you're asking me if we're at a disadvantage, I think it's not for our national team but all teams," he said.
"As well as all the teams have adopted, it is not good to have a match at 1pm. That, I believe, is a disadvantage. We should have learned this in the United States World Cup when you had matches at 2 and 3pm in extremely high temperatures. That is something that his harmful. It's harmful for the players, the fans, everyone. It's not the best way to play football and I believe what is most important in football is the players."
According
to the latest World Bank data, Nigeria had a population of 168,833,776
in 2012, compared with a population of 313,914,040 in the United States.
In 30 years, the world will likely look very different.
“Secular population trends still favor Emerging Markets, as working population growth in Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa will easily outpace growth in the West,” says BofA Merrill Lynch chief investment strategist Michael Hartnett. “Demographic trends in Africa are of particular note with the population of Nigeria set to overtake that of Indonesia’s by 2034, and the US population in 2045.”
Labor force demographics also arguably favor emerging markets vis-a-vis the West.
The charts below from ISI show forecasts for how the labor forces in both the emerging and the developed world are likely to evolve.
“The more developed country total labor force will soon begin to shrink at an accelerating rate for many albeit not all developed countries,” writes ISI lead analyst and head of global demographics research Dick Hokenson in a recent report. “This implies slower real GDP growth unless productivity increases at a faster rate.”

“Although the less developed country total labor force will
essentially comprise all of the net growth in the world’s labor force,”
says Hokenson, “the rate of increase slows from 1.86% per year from
2000-2010 to 1.43% per year this decade.”

Oba of Benin sues for peace over Edo Assembly crisis
The Oba of Benin, Omo n’Oba Erediauwa has urged political actors to allow peace to reign in the state, particularly in the state House of Assembly.
Reacting
to the situation that followed a breakdown of law and order on the
floor of the Assembly, the monarch couseled politicians to resolve their
differences without making recourse to violence.
Crisis
broke out following the suspension of the deputy speaker, Hon Festus
Ebea and others and the counter suspension of the speaker, Hon Uyi Igbe
and the majority leader, Hon Phillip Shaibu.
The
Oba who told the politicians not to plunge the state into crisis held a
meeting with leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) in his palace, on Saturday to appeal to them to
allow peace reign in the state.
A
statement personally signed by the Oba of Benin reads, “I thank leaders
of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party
(PDP) for honouring my invitation at short notice.
“I
invited you to my palace to appeal to you on the need to allow peace
continue to reign in Edo State. I know as politicians, you have ways of
resolving political issues no matter how delicate and sensitive the
issues are.
“Politicians
in Edo State, regardless of whichever political parties they belong to,
I am quite sure, will do all they can to ensure that our great state
especially, Benin City, the capital, is not made ungovernable for
political reasons. I know as citizens of Edo State, you will always do
all you can to protect our people and our land.” The statement reads.

EXPOSED! Duncan Mighty Lied! We Do Not Owe Him N50m – Rivers State Government

Rivers State Commissioner for
Information, Ibim Semenitari has said Duncan mighty lied in the letter
where he accused the State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi of owing him N50m,
which is supposed to be a balance of the money he charged the Governor
for a Youth Endorsement Concert in March 2011. According to Duncan
Mighty, he brought a lot of stars which includes M.I, Banky W, Terry G,
Ice Prince, Timaya, I Go Die, I Go Save and a whole lot more to perform
for the governor in which he paid him only N10m from the N60m he charged
him and promised to pay the rest soon.
Here is what the commissioner told Premium Times about Duncan Mighty’s accusation;
“There is absolutely no truth in that
allegation. The question perhaps you should ask Duncan is to tell you
exactly when was he contracted; when it was executed and who contracted
him? It is unfortunate when some people imagine that they have attained a
status that enables them blackmail others, tell blatant lies and get
away with it.”
