D'banj and Adama Indimi rekindle romance

D'banj has moved on from Genevieve Nnaji and all other ladies back into the arms of his former love, the gorgeous billionaire daughter Adama Indimi and this is authoritative. D'banj and Adama dated back in 2012 but eventually went their separate ways. But according to a source in the know, they rekindled their romance about three months ago.

I didn't even know they were back together until I saw a pic of Adama at D'banj's mum's birthday last weekend in Lagos (pictured left with arrow) and of course I started asking around and everyone was like 'since when?' lol. I hear they are pretty serious this time around and D'banj's mum approves.

Khloe Kardashian and French Montana seem to be really crazy about each other. Not only have they been inseparable since they began dating early this year, they are now doing interviews together.

Monarch, 15 others killed in Borno state

Suspected members of Boko Haram yesterday July 24th, invaded and attacked Garubula village in Biu LGA of Borno State, killing the District Head, Alhaji Ibrahim Dawi, and 11 others, the Nation reports. The sect members also invaded the homes of two members of the local vigilante group, dragged them out and took them to a river bank in Gamboru Ngala, a border town with Cameroon Republic and killed them.

There are also reports that two people suspected to be a motorist and a passenger were ambushed and shot dead along the Maiduguri – Gamboru Ngala road. The Maiduguri – Gamboru Ngala road came under attack on Tuesday July 22nd by terrorists with the blowing of the bridge linking the town with Cameroon Republic.comment

Nigeria is on the verge of a break up - Bishop Oyedepo says

Speaking recently on the spate of bombings and attacks in the country, GO of the Living Faith Church aka Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo said that Nigeria is on the verge of a break up.

"I hope that we are willing to find solution to it. I would be the last person in this world to believe that government has not discovered those who are behind Boko Haram. Otherwise, we don’t have any intelligence service in our country. Are they sacred cows that cannot be brought to book? Until we cut the source of their supplies and get those who are involved, we cannot stop them. But the danger is this, and I must say it here, we are at the verge of a break up. That is the truth. It’s unfortunate. The Nigerian nation is too intelligent to claim not to have discovered those who are behind this. So, I really believe it’s all in the hands of the authorities to decide whether they want to confront the issue headlong or to keep watching it until Nigeria breaks up......All that the church can do is to pray. The church is not in power, it has no political power. And when invited, we give advice, when required or called upon. You can’t call someone and say can I advise you?" - Bishop David Oyedepo

Defence HQ says the technician involved in Mi-15 crash has been found...alive

Okay, this is beginning to get confusing. First, two people died, one was found alive. Then one body was found and the other body missing. And now the technician who was declared dead and his body missing has been found...alive! We thank God sha!

The Nigerian Defence headquarters this evening released a statement on its website stating that the technician they earlier reported dead and his body missing after the Air Force helicopter crash on July 21st in Bama, Borno has resurfaced alive at the Military headquarters in Maiduguri. Statement below.

The Engineer crew member of the crashed Nigerian Air Force Mi-35 Helicopter earlier declared missing has been found alive. The crew member who was declared missing when his body could not be located in the vicinity of the crash resurfaced at the military Headquarters in Maiduguri today, having trekked through the bushes after the crash.

It is thus confirmed that Flight Lieutenant NM Halilu, Co-Pilot and Warrant Officer Augustine Nwanonenyi, the aircraft technician survived the crash while Flight Lieutenant Onyeka Nwakile was the only one lost in the crash.  The family of the officer has been duly informed while the two survivors are in stable condition but receiving medical attention.

Meanwhile, search and rescue operation on the incident has been concluded, while investigation into the crash continues.

30 year old man arrested for raping 2 year old girl in Ebonyi state

A 30-year old man, Mr. Inya-Okoro from Afikpo North LGA of Ebonyi State has been arrested by police for defiling a 2-year-old girl named Favour, Sunnewsonline reports

The suspect was alleged to have com­mitted the shameful act when the victim returned from school and was sleeping at the corridor of the house when the suspect, who also lives in the same compound allegedly pounced on her and committed the crime.

The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Mr. Chris Anyanwu an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), who confirmed the incident said the suspect was arrested on July 14, 2014 at the scene of the crime when the members of the family alerted the police. comment

FG Declares Monday, Tuesday Public Holidays For Eid-el-Fitri Celebration

The Federal Government has declared Monday, July 28, and Tuesday, July 29, 2014 as public holidays to mark the Eid-el-fitri.

A statement in Abuja on Wednesday by the Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, enjoined all Muslim faithful and Nigerians in general to extend the spiritual benefits of Ramadan, which he said are love, peace and justice to their daily living and contribute to the development of Nigeria.

The Minister also urged all Nigerians to seize the opportunity of the holidays to reflect on the imperative of peace in nation-building.

Moro wished all Nigerians a most rewarding and peaceful celebration.

100 Days Of Missing Chibok Girls: The Government Is Treating It Like A Joke – 2Face Idibia Speaks

Today, Wednesday 23rd July 2014 makes it 100 days since 276 girls were kidnapped from the Government Secondary School, Chibok Borno state and to mark this, there has been heavy conversation centred around the missing Chibok girls and #BringBackOurGirls campaign.

Joining in the conversation was the What’s Trending team at Classic 97.3fm who had 2Face Idibia as a guest on the show. 2Face who happened to be in the studio promoting his latest album,

“The Ascension” was quizzed on the issue of the missing girls and the multiple award winning singer was very vocal in his disappointment over the manner in which the situation was being handled.

“I think the whole thing is a joke” he began, “The government has not expressed enough seriousness in handling the situation.”

He went on to say that rather than politicise the situation, if there was really a kidnap, the government should live up to its responsibility and work hard towards the return of the missing girls rather than trade blames amongst the various political parties.

Also when asked if he would ever consider a political appointment, specifically representing his Idoma tribe in the national level, he emphatically stated that politics was not for him.

“I don’t want to be one of all those people that will heavily criticise the government from outside then when I get in for whatever reason I won’t be able to work and make a difference. I’ll rather stick with my music” he concluded.

Meanwhile 2Face’s “The Ascension” album which features artistes like Iceberg Slim, Tony One Week amongst others has dropped and he’s expected to be the headline act at Industry Night later today.

More Trouble: American Singer Ray J Booked For Grabbing A Woman’s B!oobs In Public

Ray J has been charged with sexual battery at last for allegedly groping a woman’s b****t.

We earlier reported that the ‘I Hit It First’ singer has been charged with 10 misdemeanor offences after being arrested at the Beverly Wilshire hotel in May but new details have now emerged over one of the charges following some confusion.

Police had originally been called to the Beverly Hills establishment after the singer – who is the younger brother of Brandy Norwood and ex to Kim Kardashian – had brushed up against a woman’s butt, but officers at the time insisted it wasn’t sexual battery because the contact was incidental.

However, according to TMZ, Ray was seen by multiple witnesses, both staff and patrons, deliberately grabbing a woman’s chest, prompting the sexual battery charge.

Both the hotel lobby and bar are filled with surveillance cameras which cover every angle of both rooms, while another witness described the singer as “wacked out on something” when he entered the bar.

The 33-year-old star will be arraigned on all 10 charges on Friday (25.07.14), but is not required to be in court. As well as sexual battery, the singer faces four charges of resisting arrest, three counts of assault and battery, and two counts of vandalism.

After being asked to leave the hotel due to his “rowdy” antics, Ray – who is best known for appearing in a s*x tape with then-girlfriend Kim K – refused to go so security made a citizen’s arrest.

Law enforcement officers then arrived at the scene and the R&B star allegedly kicked out the back window of the police car and spat in an arresting officer’s face as he was being handcuffed.

Bomb Explosion Rocks Kaduna, Many Feared Dead

The bomb is believed to have been targeted at a prominent cleric.

An explosion has occurred in central Kaduna killing at least 10 people, a witness has said.

The blast occurred Wednesday afternoon along Isa Kaita road which leads to the popular Murtala Square.

A witness said the explosion is believed to have targeted the convoy of a prominent Islamic cleric, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, who was on his way to the Square.

The witness, Hassan Mohammed, told PREMIUM TIMES that the bomb, concealed in a red Volkswagen golf car parked by the road side, was detonated as the cleric’s convoy drove past.

The sheikh escaped unhurt, the witness said.

“As I speak to you now, I can see many bodies on the ground,” Mr. Mohammed said.

The police could not be immediately reached.

But the witness said security and emergency officials have arrived at the scene evacuating the victims of the blast.

The blast is the second targeting Mr. Bauchi in Kaduna State. In June, an explosion occurred near his house, injuring one person.

The Sheikh is a known critic of the extremist Boko Haram sect. It is however not clear whether the group is responsible for the attack.

It could be recalled that two days ago, Gen. Buhari had issued a statement warning President Goodluck Jonathan and his government on their attempt to muscle the opposition and endanger Nigeria.

Another reliable source confirmed that an earlier bomb blast that allegedly killed scores of people today was targeted at an a popular Islamic Cleric Dahiru Bauchi who was delivering Ramadan lecture at Murtala Square in Kaduna.

As at the time of filing this report, no group has claimed responsibility for the two high-profile attacks, but a security operative in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, said the explosions were likely the handiwork of the extremist Islamists group, Boko Haram.

The Boko Haram insurgents had claimed responsibility for terror attacks that had occurred in norther Nigeria and other part of the country.

#BringBackOurGirls: African China Blasts Nigerian Artistes Calls Them Hypocrites

Dance Hall reggae act, Chinagorom Onuoha, the one we all know as African China, is not happy with his fellow artistes and has tongue lashed them, calling them hypocrites and pretenders in the campaign to force the Federal Government to effect the rescue of the abducted Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, by the dreaded Boko Haram insurgents.
According to the singer whose conscious music like Crisis, Mr. President and Our Government Bad, made serious waves in the late 90s to the early 2000s, he had called up some of his colleagues to feature in his new song, Boko Haram, with the aim of making it a collaboration of various Nigerian artistes but his colleagues turned him down during the production.
Hear him:
I was happy when I approached some of the artistes, but along the line, they turned it down saying that they couldn’t do the song and as such, I had to do the song all alone.
He therefore wonders why those same colleagues of his would now turn around to copy what foreign celebrities have been doing with the #BringBackOurGirls campaign and then display it on social media.
I will never forgive the Nigerian artistes doing that because it is too late to give a voice now.
When we would have sang to beg these people even before this bombing went rampant, they turned it down. Now, they are copying others, nonsense. Our celebrities only do things that trend.
